Privacy Policy
Updated for Max Photo Frames Version 3.1 · Last updated: 6 August 2026
Introduction
This privacy policy applies to the Max Photo Frames app (“the App”). Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what information is handled by the App.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, share, or have access to any of your personal information. The App is designed to work on your device. The one exception is iCloud Sync, which you can turn on yourself: it copies some of your own content to your own private iCloud account, never to us. That is described in the iCloud Sync section below.
Photo Access
The App requires access to your photo library to function. This access is used only for you to select photos for editing. Your photos are processed on your device and are never uploaded to our servers or viewed by us.
In-App Purchases
The App offers optional in-app purchases for tips. These transactions are processed securely by Apple through the App Store’s official payment system. We do not receive or store any of your personal payment information, such as credit card numbers.
iCloud Sync
Max Photo Frames offers optional iCloud Sync so your saved presets and your caption library stay the same on every device signed in to your Apple Account. It is off by default and only turns on if you switch it on in the app.
What syncs when you turn it on
- Your saved presets, including the styles they reference.
- Your saved captions (“My Captions”), including their styling and where they are placed.
What never syncs
- Your photos, your documents in progress and your exported images. These stay on the device that made them.
- Your personal details used for personalised captions, such as names and important dates. These belong to the device you entered them on and move only if you deliberately export them to a file.
Where it goes, and who can see it
Synced content is stored in your own private iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit, in the private database tied to your Apple Account. It is not sent to a Max34Lab server, and we cannot read it, browse it or recover it for you. Apple’s handling of that data is covered by Apple’s own privacy policy and iCloud terms.
Turning it off and deleting the copy
You can turn iCloud Sync off at any time in the app, under Hub. There is also a Delete iCloud Data action that removes the iCloud copy of your presets and captions and switches sync off. Everything already saved on your device stays exactly as it is.
Because this content lives in your own iCloud account, it also counts towards your iCloud storage and follows whatever iCloud settings you have on your device.
Usage Data
The App does not use any third-party analytics tools to track your usage. All data, such as your saved preferences (for example, default frame colour and font), is stored locally on your device and is not accessible to us. If you turn on iCloud Sync, some of that content is also stored in your own private iCloud account, which is still not accessible to us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
